Ekolife Ifugao is strategically situated in the town center overlooking the Banaue Rice terraces and local community. It is a coffee shop and pasalubong center that provides tourism support services and packages agro-tourism destinations for OFWs. It operates the shared service facility provided by DTI. The social enterprise is a partnership between Atikha, PinoyWISE- Ifugao Chapters and cooperatives in Ifugao. The Public Private People Partnership also taps the TESDA, DTI, DA and the PLGU.
It has a roast on site, roast on demand facility. Aside from coffee shop, it also provides pasalubong and tourism support services. The coffee shop is mentored by Bote Central, owner of 18 days Coffee, a successful social enterprise engaged in the coffee value chain. The shop will serve innovative and healthy bread and pastries using healthy flour and sugar. The ingredients used by the Ekolife shop is sourced from the Ekolife Farm which is a 22-hectare property in Pototan. The Ekoife farm will serve as a farm business school for organic farming and will entertain tourists interested in agro-tourism and spa services. The social enterprise is a partnership between Bote Central, Atikha and PinoyWISE-Iloilo Chapter. This is a Public Private People Partnership Project with DOLE OWWA and NRCO technical assistance. The initial capital requirement is 4 Million Pesos.
EKOLIFE is a social enterprise operated and managed by Atikha involved in packaging and promoting eco/agrotour destinations that involves the OFWs and families as both service providers and customers of the tourism industry.
